About Beyond Actives
Beyond Actives was founded in Bahrain by Afnan Khalifa, known as Beyond Yoga — an officially certified yoga, Pilates, and fitness instructor with years of experience practicing, teaching, and living an active lifestyle.
It started with a search for something better
After years of practicing and teaching yoga, Pilates, and fitness, Afnan developed a deep understanding of how even the smallest details can affect movement, comfort, and performance.
One of those details was grip socks.
Through years of personal practice, professional teaching, and trying different products, she found herself searching for premium, authentic grip socks that combined everything she wanted: reliable grip, lasting comfort, quality materials, and a unique style that felt different from what was already available.
Finding all of those qualities in one product was not easy.
So instead of continuing to search for the right pair, she decided to create it herself.
From professional experience to Beyond Actives
After years of practice, teaching, testing, and personal trials, Afnan wanted to take everything she had learned and turn it into a product she genuinely believed in — something she would confidently wear herself, recommend to her clients, and share with whomever take their movement seriously.
Every detail is considered from the perspective of someone who actually understands what happens on the mat and reformer — from grip and fit to comfort, quality, and design.
